For the nostalgia buff - Here are great plans to build the
radial engine "golden age" planes of the '30s and
'40s! Scale: 1in = 1 ft. Ideal for display, R/C, or electric!
Full size plans are drawn on three large 24" x 36"
("D" size) sheets. The twins and the Vultee have 36"
x 8" ("E" size) sheets. All models feature sheet
balsa skin construction over balsa or plywood formers and ribs.
Engine sizes range from .049 to .092 cid. All patterns and templates
are full model size. Exceptionally clear plans with easy to
follow insuctions and exploded perspectives show details of
assembly. List of materials is included. These catalog sheets
are a montage of reduced segments of he drawing showing the
extent of detail and ease of construction, along with a brief
word about the aircraft.
The plans are compiled from catalogs, 3 views, photos, factory
information, operating manuals, and published drawings by Paul
Matt, W. E. Wylan, and others.
